i have gotten the same amount consistently but the numbers don't add up accordingly....unless they have been changed since i last checked?
is it still 300 for 6 and under and 250 for 6 and up ?

Correct
i got it now.... if a kid is 6 they are giving 250 that's the only way the amount i get makes sense
so its not 6 and under ..its just under 6

You got extra because they're making up for missing the newly added child for the last 2 months.
If the child is under 6 I assume you received $150 extra (and you'll receive it til December).
That makes sense!

The wording was a bit ambiguous.

The payments are $300 for children 5 and under, for children ages 6-17 payment will be $250.

Will your child be 6 before year-end?

I'm getting $100 less per month (maybe I'm only getting $250 for my kids under 6.) and that's besides the child that turned 6 in Aug that I got $250 for before she was 6.

You only get $250 for any child truning 6 before 12/31.

You'll need to claim the underpayments on your 2021 return.

i got more for some reason. I actually opted out but forgot to opt out my wife. last month got a check for $600 and this month $825.  I hope the IRS is keeping track of what they have been giving. Either way this will be the last as Im not looking to give back anything year end

Same. Opted out for me, not for the wife. So instead of DD got a paper check for 50% last month. This month it's $113 more. I have no idea why.

Looks like Afghanistan pullout isn't the only incompetence introduced by the Biden team.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Same. Going to try and get the opt out done this month for DW. They keep on making issues out of her passport.
