They originally said it'll be resolved within 5 business days, which has obviously not yet happened. I'll post updates once I know more.

Previously suspecting that there was an issue with my bank account, I decided to try and switch bank accounts. I now see that an amount was deposited by the IRS into the new bank account, but I can't figure out how they came up with the amount.

Do they give different amounts depending on what vaccine one received, and antibody levels?

I assume waning antibody levels is why I got less than the previous two months. Either that or because my 2020 return was processed, but the antibody level theory just seems more likely.

I decided to check what the IRS website says. Turns out it had DD for me but not for DW (even though previous months full amount was DD). In any event the sum of the two is greater than the amount deposited in prior months. Maybe they give extra credit for recovery + 1 dose of Moderna for one spouse. Or maybe it's a bonus for extra high antibody levels.

Oh. I get it. Kind of like why cell phones no longer have antennas sticking out (or available to be pulled out). But that was the 20th century. We're in the 21st century now.
