you can also try foxfi for rootless tether.
It works! First app to successfully turn my Samsung Epic 4G into a mobile hotspot! Thank you! Now any chance that sprint will charge me for hotspot services?

You shouldn't be getting charged by sprint.

My friend had used this app (with Sprint) and hasn't got charged

I'm stuck with a BB - I would love to have a Hotspot app :(

For what it's worth. I'm using Foxfi on a samsung replenish. When I activate the hotspot it brings up the notification from the Sprint hotspot. I called and said that "I was playing around with the sprint hotspot and activated it by mistake, will I get charged?" The rep said that unless I call and activate the service to my account I won't get charged.

If there is LTE you'll get LTE, otherwise it will switch to 3G.

Is there any way to download google maps for my GNex for Argentina ahead of time so that the GPS would work without data?

Someone told me about this once: http://www.mapdroyd.com/

Not sure if it's exactly what you're looking for.

Just realized you specifically wrote google maps. I know you can download maps from google. It should be an option on your phone already but I think it's only up to a 10 mile radius or something like that. And I'm not sure how if the GPS would work with it or if it's just a downloaded map.

Gps should work but navigation won't. It'll be like an old fashioned map except it will show your current location :)

Dont think so, if would require internet to get the routes from Google.

When I went to Australia last I cached alot of 10 mile squares with Google maps and then used navdroyd for turn by turn when I drove. But Google maps was great for walking.

I don't think it exists, they obviously planned it since the phone has connector pins, but it seems they then scrapped it. Amazon has a regular car mount though.

I Use that mount and it works great!!! Very easy to get in and out. Charger fits in the bottom as well as aux cord.

Anybody else update to ICS 4.04? Only difference as far as I see is the screen when you hold down the power button.

*note your phone must be rooted.

If anyone hasn't upgraded to ICS 4.04 here is a link on how to force your galaxy to do it. The battery life is longer and its processor works faster so I would suggest this update. http://www.droid-life.com/2012/06/02/tip-how-to-force-the-4-0-4-update-for-the-galaxy-nexus-lte/

I was prompted for the update when I turned my phone on tonight. No noticeable differences yet.
