It's a vegetarian restaurant, so I guess you don't mean literal treif?

Reminds me of when a certain Rosh yeshiva was giving a shiur outdoors, and a big flew into his mouth and was swallowed.
Those around laughed out of surprise, and he responded "it's not funny, I was just oiver 6 lavim"

Did they have a mashgiach tmidi before? Sounds like an upgrade to the supervision, owners taking a hit, prices will go up.  Maybe someone else will take advantage of this.

thats just how it has to be. just like paying more can get you higher quality/healthy/tasty food. Pay more=get more kosher food.

This case sounds to me like there was an unintentional or careless breach and that they are taking steps to rectify it that it should not happen again.
