And as for the rest of Crown Heights, the only good thing people can say about the one on Empire and Nostrand is that it's not as bad as S Johns.

Once noticed my mail carrier in Flatbush making his rounds at around 9 Pm on a Thurs night. Asked him what he's doing out so late, said he knows we like our magazines for Shabbos, for some reason he hadn't seen them in Thursday's mail and Friday was a legal Holiday, so he went back to the PO to pick them and deliver all of them then. Real shame he got transferred/retired.

Probably a knucklehead who "didn't want to make a chillul hashem. Same as the guy who votes for an 11% increase in the East Ramapo school budget because he doesn't want to make a chillul hashem (yes, it really happened this year).

He redelivered all my old mail for years after I moved. I only realized when he went on vacation.

We had multiple apartments at one address and he always separated the mail.

Always wishing good Shabbos. Always a smile. Best Shabbos goy.

Really the nicest guy ever.

Unfortunately about 10 years ago I moved a block out of his delivery area. But still greets me by name when I see him.
