Booking Royal Air Maroc - JFK-CMN

Trying to book a flight to CMN on Royal Air Maroc from JFK. No availability through Etihad Guest. There is availability on AA, however, I don't have that many AA miles. I have plenty of AMEX. Is it worth it to transfer to Marriott and then to AA? any other partners through OneWorld? TIA

tried to call a million times with no luck.
it's 61k (business) with Asia miles and 62k with Avios each way which I can use Amex.

however, the fees are over $1k total round trip with Asia or avios vs less than $200 with AA.
