I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

Last I checked the US Treasury hasn’t been having any trouble printing money. It’s not cash flow anymore, it’s practically a cash tsunami...

There's like a 30 million backlog that needs manual review (mainly due to stimulus adjustments). It's been widely reported

Almost every return that claims a missing stimulus payment, the $10,200 UI deduction or any other Covid related change to the tax law, is taking much longer to process. IME it takes now about 10 weeks.
If it benefits even just one fellow DDFer, its worth posting it.

Maybe the ones that didn't properly file with the Covid change (due to the change in rules after they filed). I filed around May 13 with a missing stimulus payment and the UI deduction, but it was all properly filed because I waited for the last minute. I got my refund on May 28.
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

are you saying that my accountant should have included my stimulus checks amount in my income?

No, but whoever didn’t get the stimulus or didn’t get stimulus for a dependent, can claim a tax credit on their return.

To say it differently, the stimulus checks were a (refundable) tax credit, but one the IRS issued to most people in advance via direct deposit or a check.

Stimulus checks and EIDL/PPP monies do not count as income.

Filed March 1st and still nothing...

I called them a few weeks ago and they said they should have a refund date by 11 weeks. Now I can't get through to anyone in the phone.

I claimed stimulus and had some unemployment, but I don't think the changes in law would change my refund amount.

I filed in the beginning of may, with missing stimulus and got my return about 2 weeks later.

It seems like anyone who filed after they updated the system is fine. It's just those who filed early who are getting a guaranteed 3% on our money
