Are you kidding me? You're forgetting their PointBreak opportunities - about the best deals any hotel program out there offers. 5,000 points can often get you a night at an Intercontinental or Crown Plazas somewhere in the world. I often determine my travels depending on the deals their regularly updated lists have to offer. 80,000 Priority Club points could realistically be worth 16 nights in an Intercontinental or a Crown Plaza or at the very least one of the Holiday Inn versions. That's worth a whole lot more than $480. (Potentially more than 3 or 4,000 bucks worth!)
Excellent. Please PM me and I'll be happy to sell you 80K points for $3,000.
Oh wait what's that? Priority Club sells 80K for $480?
Things can't be worth more than they cost! Sure you can get unlimited value from what you buy but as long as they're being sold for a certain price you can't claim they're "worth" more than that price!
