The risk is only that the system might auto reject both applications since it catches that you are submitting 2 applications at once.  So you might have to call in and manually get it approved.

First time that I actually had chase approving me for the sapphire with credit line transfer without even discussing it with me even.

Applied.  Went pending. A week later approved for 5k credit line. A few days later I receive a later saying they shifted credit from a different card in order to approve this one. Never knew that they can do it without offering it first.

I was under the impression the CC cos take it as trying to game the system, glad to hear it's not risky. What are odds of approval if FICO is approx 740?

Today I get a letter that they shifted credit to approve the card. Online it’s already showing AF. The only thing I don’t have yet is the actual card.

I didn't have a credit transfer, but they did increase the limit on my existing card at the same time as approving the sapphire without me asking if even mentioning it.

Am currently at 4/24, and not wanting to waste a credit pull, I figured to apply for the ink cash card followed by the preferred card, because if do in reverse order will get auto rejected as will be at 5/24 (assuming approved for preferred).

Good strategy?

Little worried about this idea in case get approved for ink cash (1st application) but get rejected for preferred (card I really want).

What are you worried about? The Ink application shouldn’t affect the Sapphire application.

In order to be approved for CSP you need to get a CL of 5k if Chase does not see a decent CL with another bank they will deny you just because they cant give you 5k while they will approve you for a freedom with 2k CL.

I still believe offer will end July 17 makes sense with the refresh coming the following month
