What are the going rates for badchunim?
E.g. What would one charge to come to a sheva brachos in Bklyn for an hour or so?

If you want a fully understandable english speaking Badchan, Sruly Wulliger was excellent. He has a singing and baal tefila background and he started with badchanus relatively recently. Highly recommended.

2 people making a sketch comedy (Yiddish) they charge 3k for about 30 minutes of acting. But IMO it is fully worth it. They are hilarious.

For a Sheva Brachos you may want to take someone cheaper. But for a wedding, party etc. They are a good option to consider IMO.

I would imagine that a badchan doing stand-up will charge a lot, as there is a limit to how many times you can recycle a joke without everyone knowing it. I imagine that they don't perform every night, rather more sparingly, at a higher price point.

Still, $3k for 30m (even if the act has two performers) sounds like the price I’d expect post-hyperinflation in 2023. I guess I’m not in touch with market rates for this stuff, if that’s what they charge and they’re in business, then that’s what people are paying.

Idk, I’m aware of singers price ranges, never realized badchanim come close. Either way, 20k sounds like a-lister rates and I’ve never heard of this duo.
