Do newborns actually look like someone? {poll}

My second daughter was born a few days ago and everyone is busy trying to figure out who she looks like, her sister, mother, me, this bubbe, that tante etc.

IMHO she (and all newborns) just looks like a baby and all resemblance at this point is contrived.

What do you all think?

Depends (duh). Some babies do have a very strong look and it easy to discern a resemblance (or more), others have a more generic look. Others can be more of a mix so it's hard to pinpoint what features come from what. But some are real clones.

Mazel Tov!  I would agree that it depends - some of my kids and grandkids looked exactly like specific relatives from the time they were born, others just looked generically cute.  No potato heads in my family!

I've used more aggressive terms than others here about what all newborns look like. There are some exceptions, but the vast majority look like (choose your term).
