Travelers insurance
« on: April 05, 2012, 09:53:13 PM »
I'm traveling to Israel and Europe this summer, got award tickets. I paid for taxes with co card but I then closed it so I assume I lose the baggage, trip delay, cancellation insurance...
I realized afterwards I should have used an Amex card because chase makes you jump through hoops to file a claim( I tried once filing one for damagaed luggage and there was a ton of paperwork).
Anyway, I want to know if anyone has any recommendations for travelers insurancE.
To people generally buy it or not.
I was assuming i should get through Amex because they are very liberal about approving claims
Any advice would be appreciated

You may want to try https://www.globaltravelshield.com/
It's an amex company.
