You don't see such anonymous button very often

Click on both donate buttons, donate/donate anonymously, it literally pulls up the same page which always had the option to donate anonymously. I guess they see it increases conversions so why not add the extra button. On mobile this was poorly designed as the footer with the buttons has to be clicked to be able to scroll to see the share button, I expect better from Charidy.

Not necessarily. They still ask for donor name, and give an option to display as anonymous or any other display name. You can’t see what data is actually being entered. I usually use a display name and enter my full name in the donor field.

This is pretty much how every campaign on every site works. All they did was add a button that literally goes to the same old page they’ve been using forever.

All I’m saying is that donating anonymously is not a new concept at all, the same feature exists on every campaign site -charidy, chessed fund, gofundme, rayze.it, etc. and this feature is used all the time. The only difference here is they added a shiny new button that literally does nothing but redirect to the same exact donation page, but it pushes a few extra people on the fence to donate.

If you think they got 47k donors because of a donate anonymously button and not because of the community behind the campaign, you need to get out more.

I never said that donating anonymously is aa new concept, but to have it big on the main page to get people to click in is something unique in this situation
I know someone that donated in someone else's name as he still sends in gur mosdos, but someone else donated in his name,
the amount of donors and money is a powerful message to gur, most donors are from Bnei brak, most money (and the least donors per team) is from the US

I don't understand yiddish so have no idea what this campaign is for other than it has something to do with Gur. But I'm a little skeptical that this button has such a big effect even if people care more about anonymity for this campaign. We all have donated a billion times through these charity sites and most people should know by now that you can write whatever name you want or click to be anonymous.

this campaign is for R shaul alter the son of the Pney Menachem, that's opening his own mosdos (after being rodef'd by gur), gur is not to excited about it

R shaul alter is a massive Talmud Chochom and he was the rosh hayeshiva in gur till gur decided to ditch IYUN to get him out
