Unbelievable kuddos to @Afrages6 who saw the messages in this thread and is right now going to fill his car with water bottles from Walgreen's and hand deliver them to The Shul.

Correct, we aren't a 3rd world country.
We have building codes and the building was only 40 years old.

That barely lasted a year, and the designed wasn't looked over (according to wiki), this lasted 40 years, there aren't annual inspection?

I think there is a 40 year inspection. And if what I heard is correct that is why they were fixing the roof.

@jj1000 Is there anything needed? I have a big car and can try to help however I can. Is water still needed?

We had the red cross here at 3 am escorting people to our hotel, people are just happy to be alive.

don't mean to be insensitive, but do 100% of the donation go towards victims? after hearing crazy percentages by other stories I am cautious.

Second hand information from a rescue worker on the scene: they have started pulling people out, some alive. They are also hearing people under the rubble, so they know there are more survivors. News is not being announced yet, pending IDs and family notifications.

Please continue to say tehillim and may be hear good news soon.
