We can be curious and wonder what would be if... and rescuers should analyze this for future rescues, but the main thing to remember is God decided what will happen and if things would have been done differently there would still be the same result.

Your family should know that each one of us feels deeply with your loss. Hashem chose Benny and Malky as the ones who made this tragedy hit so deeply for so many of us us who live in Lakewood, and their petirah struck a chord in a sobering, but uplifting way, and it inspires us to try to become better people.

May this tragedy be the last of our galus, and may this tisha ba'av be a true day of jubilation.

I'm sorry if I wasn't clear. I was not saying that anyone should log on to the levaya. The desire for privacy is universal and understood. I was saying a general thought.

I don’t think it was meant as that. Klal Yisroel is one, in good times & in bad. While the victims were private individuals in life, this tragedy is a klop for all of klal Yisrael. It’s possible they were a kapparah for all of us. I followed the entire levaya of R’ Chaim, to hear about his amazing life & to cry for the terrible loss.
I apologize for posting Friday’s link. It was posted publicly & I didn’t see any harm in posting it here for DDF’ers to be able to participate.

It seems they’ve been able to remove several more names from the list. The death toll is now at 90 and 31 unaccounted for.
