Authorities didn’t have a list of potential victims days later ? I find this very hard to believe. That wouldn’t be amateurish, it would be incompetent. MD is supposed to be from the best in the nation. One of the first things the Israelis did upon arrival was to compile a list.

Absolutely very amateurish. I also had trouble believing it, but I'm not left with many alternative theories.

As I see it, there are 3 possibilities:
1) They know exactly how many people are missing and where they were supposed to be. That number matches the numbers they've been giving at every press conference, even if the lists published by the media have the wrong names.
2) They know exactly how many people are missing and where they were supposed to be. That number does NOT match the numbers they've been giving at every press conference, but don't feel the need to give accurate information to the families or the general public.
3) They don't know how many people are missing or where they were supposed to be, and the numbers they've been giving at the press conferences are from lists compiled by various agencies and media outlets.

#1 wasn't right, because they audited the list and the numbers dropped. 2 or 3 are both unacceptable, especially if they were hiding that info from the rescuers themselves.

I found him to be a very humble person watching all his interviews. Very impressive.

I heard this from CSE volunteers on site how the the Israeli team took a area,dug and almost every time came back with something while the MD crew was much more general, wasn’t sure if they had the right impression but I think this confirms it
