And reminds me of a favorite joke.

Dispatcher: 911 what’s your Emergency.
Person: There is someone dead by my door.
Dispatcher: Could you make sure he’s dead.
Background: Shots fired...
Person: Now I’m sure he’s dead.
Wow, I'm really flattered that this is your favorite joke!

Not at all. IDK if it makes a difference but it was a valet company, maybe they have better insurance? 2 valet drivers hit each other and one was driving my car.
They may just not have the system worked out to make their own estimates

But they will low ball their estimate and anything more will be contingent on the work being done
Not because they're not responsible for it, because unless you fix it you don't have enough evidence that the actual damage is higher.
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

I have installed, hardwired dashcam in our car front and back. The reason is when or if I get hit, I don't need to worry or argue and just show the video proof. Also we had car jackings in this City.  I just short drives sometimes to run errands or take our kid to play outside. etc.

I was rear ended and as usual the other driver is at fault. if i go only through their insurance (geico) I need to drive down to their shop and get an estimate and a check and then i can go fix wherever I choose. am I supposed to or not supposed to go through my insurance?
Ended up getting it fixed and got my car back 2 weeks ago. This Friday an amazon prime van bumped into the back bumper and made a very small crack. He left a note saying if I see any damage to call a number. I called before Shabbos and they said the manager wasn't there so we made up they would call me back on Sunday. Do I need to be worried that they would just deny the whole story?
Also is a small crack covered under a damage waiver or only small dents?

I don't know what's covered, but you should definitely keep that note. Pass it on to your insurance company if the driver ever decides to deny fault.

+1, but FTFY.

Should I pass it on right away or only if and when they deny? I don’t want my insurance to go up… the car was parked though so not sure how that works…
