This Amex offer is an amazing opportunity for people who pay tuition to private schools, and shop locally.
It's true that this offer won't give anyone referral bonuses, but it's such an amazing opportunity for our community, I don't think it's right to withhold for personal gain of 10k or 20k points.
Resy is offering the amex platinum for 125,000 bonus after 6k spend in 6 months.
True there is a 695 annual fee, but the main catch is, it will also give you a whopping 15 points per dollar for shop small, on 25k spend in the first 6 months. If maximized, that equals 375,000 points, plus 125k sub, totals 500,000 points!
If your Childrens school is listed as a shop small business, it's easy to pay your tuition with this card and maximize this, or if your grocery and Purim and pesach shopping is local, this is a no brainer. 500k points is worth anywhere between $5k-10k. That an amazing return on everyday spend of $25k.
In addition there are some great benefits, that easily offset the 695 af (at least for the first year).
