Bottom line, if we arrange for POTF ice cream bars will @Dan go back to the mainstream Lubavitch minyan?
The honor would be mine, but I should tell you upfront I’m pretty rusty, and I’m not taking any responsibility for my hashkafahs, beard, or CY status.
Only if it's the only if it’s the head Shliach who sponsors a lifetime supply for Dan and Co.
I fixed him up for you!
Are those Cholov Stan freckles I’m seeing?
request what you want and I will provide....
If you can get me Cholov Stam freckles I’ll be your Chavrusa for life
Please be more specific.Beard?Hairstyle?Kippah? Color?Would design someone for you to use! What wouldn’t I do for a lifetime Chavrusa with you!
Lol, this is always the funniest thing to me. The good Shabbos thing is entirely a NY thing, nothing to do with anything religious, elitism, or anything. I say Good Shabbos to people "on the farm" (unless they use the eruv, don't have a beard, or have a kapota that is higher than 2" above the knee, etc.) and get warm responses almost every time. If you go OOT where everyone is saying good Shabbos, there is no correlation to higher communal involvement, beard length, or anything of the sort.
PM it to me or post it public.
Powerful maimor where the Rebbe made his followers into leaders.Translated version:https://www.sie.org/templates/sie/article_cdo/aid/3798184/jewish/VeAtah-Tetzaveh-5741.htm
I posted above a link for ביום עשתי עשר יום translated (sorry, I didn't read, English is not my learning language). You also have the SIE translation: https://www.sie.org/templates/sie/article_cdo/aid/2640660/jewish/I-Will-Choose-the-King.htmI am sure there must be something for באתי לגני, I was referring to the simple concepts brought in the first אות of עיקר שכינה בתחתונים, followed by הסתלקות due to חטא עץ הדעת and bringing it back down. Not even going into משכן ומקדש, עצי שטים, שטות דקדושה etc.https://www.chabad.org/therebbe/article_cdo/aid/115102/jewish/Basi-Legani-5710-Chapter-1.htm
This מימרא is an unimaginable high דרגא said by one of our holiest sages 200+ years ago. I don't see how this can even be incorporated to the masses. Throwing this around so easily as if this would be a level within our reach today always baffled me. When you think honestly deeply into that statement.
Throwing around? We spend years learning chassidus and farbrenging to work on this! But it's critical to know what's the goal you're trying to attain and why are we here on this planet. How can you go somewhere without a road map? Is the whole point olam haba or is it actually olam hazeh?
Knowing the goal is one thing. Reaching that goal is another story. In other circles this would be referenced when speaking of the Gadlus of the Baal H'Tanya, that he was on that Darga to actually reach and say that מימרא.
Came across this on Shabbos from the Rebbe which addressed this very point!https://w3.chabad.org/media/pdf/910/EdBR9106946.pdf
+1, though I got a kick out of saying GS to everyone in CH when I was in ULY and have them double take to see if they knew me.
Arranging an event on a public forum? Have you seen what happens when Dan asks for help writing a simple headline on this forum?
What we need is organization, structure, and support, not “an event”. One DO won’t make a difference.
as per @Lurker I will print it and learn it by the Ohel with someone willing to share.
Some people say I look just like this!
That's a collection of some of the most seminal maamorim of the Rebbe, it's hard to properly learn even 1 of them in one sitting, let alone all.
I try going at least biweekly to the Ohel, maybe this will help me go even more.
Is there an inyan in Lubavitch to go as much as possible to the Ohel?
it's good to be a Lubavitcher
