As it happens, I'd guess more than 90% of the Rebbe's communication was to Lubavicthers.

And conversely (inversely?) more than 90% of the work done by those moved to action by said communication (read: Shluchim) is to non-Lubavitchers.

The Rebbe didn't try "convert" people. Many people were told to stay where they were, keep their minhagim, etc. The Rebbe encouraged everyone to learn Chassidus, encouraged people to grow their beards, etc, but not "become Lubavitch" per se.

ETA: that's not to say *you* shouldn't "become a Lubavitcher" if you so desire and choose. I mean, for that there is this thread.
