Changes coming to the Sapphire Preferred & Reserve

Chase Sapphire Preferred Changes
New: $50 Annual Hotel Credit. This is per cardmember year.
Card earns at the following rates:
New: 5x on travel booked through the Chase Travel portal.
New:3x on Dining/Streaming Services/online grocery (excludes: Target, Walmart and wholesale clubs)
2x on travel
1x on all other purchases
 New: 10% Anniversary point bonus. When you renew your card Chase will offer a 10% bonus on points earned. For example if you earn 25,000 bonus points you’d get 2,500 bonus points. This is award after the annual fee is paid. This doesn’t apply to the sign up bonus.

Chase Sapphire Reserve Changes
Card earns at the following rates:
New 10x on Chase dining, hotel and car rental purchases through Chase Travel portal
New 5x on airline travel booked through the Chase Travel portal.
3x on all other dining and all other travel
1x on all other purchases

I just got letter from Chase yesterday that as of 8/31 Reserve will be $550

What's interesting is I upgraded my Freedom to a reserve and they seem to be waiting till then to charge me the AF

Anyone know what combine points changes will be they told me that they are changing the system?

It will be rather disappointing if they increase the AF for the CSR and these are the only changes they make

Update, 8/10: Chase has confirmed with me that the details in the original post below are correct and will go into effect on 8/16!

You may want to wait until 8/16 to apply for a new Sapphire Preferred card as that way the $50 hotel credit will be available right away, otherwise it won’t be available until after your card anniversary. Chase confirms that the incredible 100K signup bonus offer will still be available on 8/16.

Chase also confirms that the annual fee on the Sapphire Preferred will remain $95 and the annual fee on the Sapphire Reserve will remain $550.

Sapphire Preferred will get a new card design that will be available to new and existing cardholders as of 8/16:
