What's the reason people change the birthdate of a child to 104 instead of 4
What's do you gain from changing the DOB of the infant?

Can't book an award for an infant otherwise? Any downsides to this?

If I want an award seat for an infant how old do they have to be- does 5 work or 12 for example?

I posted this question, but realize that this was probably a more appropriate place to put it:
Question: I need to add infant to SQ Award reservation in economy.
Agent claims that it will be 10% of full fare economy ($2800) and not 10% of the lowest advertised fare available online through their site ($1020).
Is this a case of DROPR = HUCA, or is this indeed SQ's policy?
Can anyone here help? Thanks!

I know this is technically not the right thread to ask on, but I couldn't find an "infant on paid ticket" thread. I know that when booking an award domestic flight with AA, I just make the booking for the adults and then call AA (or just tell them at the airport) about the lap infant and they add her for free. What about if I'm buying a domestic ticket on AA.com? Same process? Just buy for the adults and add infant later for free?

Not sure if it's too late but definitely HUCA bec I've added an infant and I paid the 10% of the lowest fare avail online.

Same process. You can just add them when you show up at the airport, or you can call AA to asdd the infant.

Thanks. Realized this morning when I booked that even if you put in two adults and an infant on Kayak, when it takes you to AA.com to book, there is only space to fill in the info for the two adults.

Anyone have advice?
So far, every single time I've flown international with a baby, there is an issue at check in with the baby's ticket and the agent has to get help from a supervisor etc often taking a long time . Even when I've called in advance to make sure everything is in order there are always still issues. My experience includes American, Virgin and United.

Same here. Just had a lap child ticket on AA  booked with Avios, and when I got to the airport AA said the ticket isn't in their system. Had same exact issue about 6 months ago as well, using avios on AA.

Looking into booking my daughter, SIL, and their baby TLV-EWR. According to Dan's Ultimate Israel Mileage Award Chart, with Air Canada miles, infants cost $50 (US or Canadian?). Anybody know the cost if I use ANA miles?

Aa is saying they can't issue lap infant tickets for qantas business and qantas is saying AA has to issue the tickets
Flight is in about 4 hours, AA said to try at the airport.

Anyone had experience with this?
