For medications we have child resistant caps. Guns are way more dangerous but we have no child resistant features. Does that seem logical?

Should a knife come with child safety?
A gun or knife that can cause pain instantaneously, it seems that the public is trusted to keep out of children's hands without additional safety features.
Versus medications which tend to be left around more may be liable to get into children's hands, thus the safety feature.
