Travel Bank
   If you book a ticket and cancel within 24 hours, you're entitled to a refund to original form of payment, so funds will return to your Travel Bank - with the same expiration as it had before.
   If you book a ticket and cancel after 24 hours, you get an Electronic Travel Certificate (ETC) in the name of the passenger. To be used by that passenger. with an expiration 2 years from the date it was created.
   Although if you cancel within 24 hours, it was reported that someone called and got an ETC instead of a Travel Bank refund.

it supposed to show as an option at checkout, I had problems when trying to use it so I called and they booked for me using the credit and they waived the booking fee.

I had the same issues.... there is an option at checkout to see other methods of payment and once I clicked that I was able to apply my TB funds.  It's annoying that they hid this method of payment but it worked once I found it.

id like to understand: the way dan explained how to fund united travelbank funding to secure the airline credit, was he bought a ticket, got reimbursed, canceled it and moved the funds to travelbank. why not just buy travelbank cash from the site straight? is it bc dan wants to utilize getting 5x per dollar first by buying a ticket, and then canceling?

Dan never said to buy a ticket and refund to TB, he said fund TB directly. (Booking a ticket and canceling would work for JetBlue)

On 12/21 i chatted with an Amex rep and had my airline of choice changed from AA to United, the rep was very forthcoming and changed it on both cards. After the chat, it immediately showed “United Airlines” as my airline so I went ahead and spent the 200 ($100×2) on Biz plat and 100 on consumer gold on United TravelBank. The charges have posted (no longer pending) but I did not receive the credits yet.. should I be worried?

I just realized that I funded Travel bank from United without selecting United as my airline got credit . Shoot. Did I mess up? Shud I choose it now or what?
