I've done the cape may ferry before.
They also have whale watching around sunset.
Never slept there though

Cape May Zoo is extensive and free, and they also have a free “Disc Golf” course along with a nice sized park.

Stayed in a random motel there, I don’t think there are any nice/points hotels in the area. It’s more of a quaint older style town.
