Authentic castle with parts dating from the 9th century and later 13th century. Note: the walls have corners, and later they found that for invaders it's easier to break corners, so they were built round. So most castles you will see have round walls on the outside.

Many famous buildings have been built for this purpose. Inside is usually not too interesting.

Most famously the Eiffel Tower built for the World’s Fair of 1889.
