Instant Kingfisher (One World) Silver Status Thru May '13?

I just wish I had it in time for my flights this weekend. I just filled out the status match form. So at least I'll get it for the 90 day trial period once they activate it. But for my flight tomorrow my GF and I are both stuck in middle seats towards the back, 8 rows apart, meanwhile there's tons of blue "preferred" seats in groups of 2 and 3 near the front of the plane. I guess I'll just have to ask nicely for a bump at the gate (or in the DL lounge thanks to my Amex Plat) so my GF and I can sit together!

If I book a ticket with  BA miles on american, how do I enter my kingfisher # in order to get 2 free bags?

Meaning I can't book the ticket until they merge? I booked a ticket on AA and entered my kingfisher airline #. The flight is on Feb 28 so I would think I am good to go. Can't I book a BA award ticket on American Airlines now for flying in April and get free bags.

Kingfisher Airlines' oneworld implementation put on hold

India's Kingfisher Airlines and oneworld® today agreed to put the airline's entry into the alliance on hold to give it time to strengthen its financial position.
Its implementation into oneworld had been planned for Friday, 10 February.
oneworld CEO Bruce Ashby said: "These are turbulent times for the airline industry in India and many other parts of the world.  We have been working closely with Kingfisher Airlines over the past months and it has become increasingly clear recently that the airline needs more time to resolve the financial issues it is confronting before it can be welcomed into oneworld.
"We wish it well during this process and will work with Kingfisher Airlines with the aim of setting a new joining date once it is through this current period of turbulence."
Kingfisher Airlines Chairman Vijay Mallya added:  "In light of the many priorities centred around Kingfisher Airlines' recapitalisation efforts, we felt it prudent to defer our entry into the alliance for a little while. This will allow us the opportunity to focus on the issues at hand and we look forward to being part of the oneworld alliance very shortly."

I emailed them to change Lake Tahoe to Lakewood, and they changed that for me a few days ago. They even wrote that they are working on adding Lakewood to the dropdown bar, and lo and behold I got another email today telling me that Lakewood is now on the dropdown menu. I guess nobody emailed them about Brooklyn yet.

A word of caution!
If you email them about anything, they quite probably will remove your silver status. I had that happen to me!
