I’m waiting for Nancy Pelosi to post a video of her dumping out all the ice cream from her freezer in solidarity with Israel.

If this ends up helping sales more than it hurts them, it will tempt other companies to follow. It might have been smarter not to push it to the headline. The bamboo that bends is stronger than the oak that resists.

People are much more likely to continue boycotting something they don't like than yo continue patronizing. While I guess it's possible they'll see a bump in sales, it'll die down soon and drop due to the boycott.
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

Does B&J Israel have any legal recourse against the parent company ? While they’re allowed to say what they want, franchising out to somebody & then destroying his business with a year & a half left on his contract doesn’t sound like something they should be allowed to do.
Or is that in the contract too ?

So all these Kosher supermarkets dropping B&J now see this move by B&J as worse than their other political moves to date?
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

My guess is many of the B&J eaters do.

Do they also boycott KIND (that promotes a similar agenda but in a less militant way)?

And is undermining תיקון עולם and the foundations of society not a good enough reason to boycott (if a boycott is one's MO)?

I've never had B&J.  But I avoid Kind bars.

That kind of stuff wasn't on their radar. Just look at this thread where people are surprised to find out that B&J would take strong political positions at the risk of boycotts. They've done that since day one. Not only will these boycotts not change their minds, it might embolden them. The only thing that could change this decision would be technical legal trouble in terms of the agreement they have with the Israeli licensee. Unilever bought them knowing full well that Ben and Jerry are in it for the activism, what that activism is, and agreed to pay good money towards it. Ben & Jerry (the people) are inspiring in their drive and desire to use their success to better society, even risking their profits for it. Of course, we differ greatly on the definition of "bettering society".

It can be a win even if they don't change their decision. If this makes other companies think 5 times before trying to get involved in a political issue it would be a success.

Most companies don’t wait around to see if it will be successful. They backtrack & apologize.

Only for not being sufficiently woke. When has a backtrack gone the other way?

Many are not in a position to boycott Ben & Jerry's as it is not CY.

It would be nice to see a boycott B&J movement grow across America (let the Evangelicals lead it for all I care).

Though I would imagine that those smart left-wing Jews made sure that Unilever can't come after them for damages due to their political activism. Maybe corporations will be more careful about this nonsense in the future.
I started boycotting B&J when I realized that Häagen-Dazs tastes better. I never knew they were also Jewish but here you go: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reuben_and_Rose_Mattus
Häagen-Dazs founders' activism
Rose Mattus sat on the board of the Zionist Organization of America.[2], and were known for their support of Rabbi Meir Kahane, founder of the Jewish Defense League.[16] They were known for their support of Israel, founding a school of high technology in Herzliya which bears their name,[17] and supporting the Israeli settlements.[11]

Wow. I was never aware of the diametrically opposed politics, or that it was founded by Jews. In any event, they are both non-CY so no boycott here, just never on my shopping or tasting list.
