Square point of sales
« on: December 04, 2023, 01:08:50 PM »
Anyone know about square (for retail)?
I have a home business, [I do not have & don’t want to have online presence] and would like to start using a pos. I have an iPad (9th generation) and would like to use the square app, as it’s fairly simple to use. I don’t have internet cables coming into my house, and don’t want to have a hotspot either. I want to use the data off my iPads sim card for all credit card transactions.
Question is, what would be the cheapest way to print receipts?
Either with a Bluetooth receipt printer that’s compatible with square (quite expensive), or some other way.
I’m wondering if I can get a Ethernet/usb receipt printer, plug into a router/Wi-Fi extender, and connect iPad via Wi-Fi, to the router/extender and still be able to use the data from iPad; as the wifi connection won’t have any internet.
Also, what’s the cheapest Bluetooth barcode scanner that works with square? Need something under $150

Printers over Ethernet shouldn't need Internet to connect.

As you can see, there are multiple Bluetooth Epson printers that are compatible and aren't too expensive.

And a used socketmobile Bluetooth scanner might be your best bet
