Author Topic: Destinations with Daily minyan and easy kosher food (Read 4277 times)

kosher food can range from no issues for all ranges of eating habits for picky kids to having only specific types of takeout/pizza/small grocery available. I am sure that some others can add many more places and add details to many of these.

Some of the real obvious ones in USA:

Baltimore
Atlanta

Do Trader Joe's, Amnons at Costco, or a kosher aisle with Tam Tams and jarred gefilte count as "small grocery" or only something with chalav Yisrael milk and tradition soups?

For me personally? For right now I would need with a full range of kosher food, but for many, just know what is available where can be a big help.

I would be fine with one minyan each but everyone has their own needs.

Even that is hard to measure. "Full range" meaning pizza store and a fleishik place of sorts, or a place like some of the places @moko mentioned where there is chalav yisroel cheese and some glatt meat available?

I think some may have a daily minyan scheduled, but it is far from a guarantee that there will actually be a minyan on any given day.

AFAIK Springfield MA hasn't had a minyan since COVID.

What I am looking for personally is thoughts to go with the family where we do not need to put any planning into food from before even with a wide range of ages. Anywhere that meets that will almost certainly have minyanim. But I am figuring that this would probably be a good resource to put together for the public in general.

I can't say if it's guaranteed or not, but I've personally davened with a minyan in each of these locations.

I travel to many of these places on a semi regular basis and make do with what I find. Then again, I'm not usually traveling with family.
If sliced cheese, deli, and tuna work, this list is more than adequate. Would be cool to start working on a master wiki....

Most of these places have raw meat and poultry, CY milk and yogurts and many may even have a restaurant with an acceptable hechsher.
