Did not realize this was quoted by the Rebbe (let alone dozens of times).

Don't remember where I heard this suggested as yet another benefit of getting in the habit of judging others favorably in this world, this way when the day of judgement comes and they pull this trick on the person, they will already be conditioned to judge favorably.
