Ok let's take mandates. He opposed them which cost lives.
He opposed restriction during Easter break which turned out to be super spreader events.
I guess all acceptable costs?

And it’s not just opposing mandates. He’s empowering vaccine skeptics with his rhetoric and opposition to everything the fed government is doing. Even if he admits to being “pro vaccines”

And it is not as easy as you claim to compare FL to other states on an apples to apples basis because they still report their death numbers in bulk batches ~1/wk. So they'll jump up one day and then increase by 1 or 2 the rest of the week.

It matters because I often see posts like the below that show how "FL is so great because only 1 person died in the last day". Generally, that either means (1) they are comparing deaths that occurred and reported in the past day with deaths that were just reported in the past day, or (2) they are picking a day that FL did not batch report deaths, rather than looking at something like a 14 day rolling average.

Case in point:

He's claiming that FL death #s (18/day) are 89.8% lower than they were a year ago (177).

But since then, they changed how they report deaths so that the number is lagged by a few weeks. If you compare using consistent numbers, FL is now adding around 180 new covid deaths a day.

That same chart showing 18/day on Jan 29 was already revised to 80/day a few days later and climbing.
