Powerful idea, thanks for sharing! Interestingly enough, this past Shabbos we were talking about how we learn that 10 are a minyan from (or an asmachta from) מה לעדה הרעה הזאת and what was discussed was that any 10 Jews regardless of their stature make up a minyan, quite the contrast.

In his podcast on the W****r scandal, R' Dovid Lichtenstein quoted a sefer from one of the gedolim in europe (I've forgotten which one) which stated at length, that worse than those who speak Lashon Hara when they shouldn't, are those who keep quiet when they should speak out.
