I was unsure too, but I saw this on another site that I’ve gotten deals from before. We’ll see when they arrive!

Even if you do get them, are they fakes?

When your letters come back with a stamp "counterfeit postage return to sender" then you'll know.

You'll get away if you say that you don't respect the flag and couldn't get yourself to use real postage  :P

Just match it with a genuine stamp & shouldn’t be too hard to spot if it’s fake.

There was a big discussion about this. There are good fakes out there. It is a big business.

I just read through it in the other thread. If it’s such a good fake what’s the chance of USPS spotting it ? How closely do they examine every letter ?

I would not take a chance on it even if it will never get caught. Allowing counterfeits into the system takes revenue away from USPS and will eventually cost you, the taxpayer, more money when they have to be bailed out.

I'm not saying that using one fake roll will do that, but it's a matter of principle, and you'll end up paying for it anyways.

I’m not saying anyone should use fakes. Are you saying nobody should buy these or any stamps being offered for cheap ?

-1.

If the USPS is profiting from them, it will cover (at least part of) the shipping cost. But if a forger is profiting, then the USPS is delivering mail without getting paid for it.

How do we know if the USPS is profiting from these ?

Are we certain these are fakes bc they are being offered for cheap, or did this seller maybe think this was a good way to up their buyer count? Now I’m second guessing buying them…

Thats what I'd like to know. If they look genuine any reason not to use them ?

No idea. I'm responding to this notion:
If it’s such a good fake what’s the chance of USPS spotting it ? How closely do they examine every letter ?

Feel free to rely on it if there's a chance they are real.

. . . And apparently the USPS doesn't spot them.
