Yes, food poisoning is more common and more likely than anything in the vaccine which is manufactured in a sterile environment, has a well understood mechanism, and exits the body faster. And I’m a clean eater who hasn’t taken any medicine or even Tylenol/Advil in 6+ months.
More common than what? Fever? Flu-like symptoms? Pain in the arm? Hearing loss? (and for females, changed menstrual cycles that are heavier and more painful)
This kind of talk is not helpful to anyone. Food poisoning happens to people once or twice in a lifetime. We all either experienced the side effects or know people who experienced severe side effects from the vaccine. Without looking at the stats, it's a no brainer to know that if the vaccine and a plate of dinner is in front of you right now, the vaccine is more likely to make you sick, even if you are correct that there are more cases of food poisoning overall.
And the side effects continue after the vaccine leaves your body, or has nothing to do with being in your body or not, or how sterile the ingredients are prepared. But you know this.
Everyone should get vaccinated, and pro vaccine folks shouldn't dole out talk that mocks or denigrates people's legitimate concerns.
