So it's a small thing to allow this to happen? And it doesn't affect future American missions?
No and Yes.
The issue is this is going to happen to others in the country. Do we have any responsibility to them? They feel we do.

It is not a small thing. Biden muffed up badly. You can look back and see how I wrote that a number of times here.

so lets ignore the other____________ million.
It's not our job to stop every unjust execution in every country.
It is our job to get out Americans and wartime collaborators who qualify for a US visa.
I am neither for or against pulling out but hard to ignore a botched pullout. Do whatever you gonna do but at least do it right. The results were nothing close to what was promised.

and Biden for the rollout.
I haven't been following any of this close enough to know how true that is, but considering that they were at ~1mm doses/day by the time he took office I think that's at least debatable.

wartime collaborators who qualify for a US visa.
Quite a qualification. What about the rest of them who the immigration hawks (Trump that's you) wouldn't consider eligible but will suffer the same repercussions?

so be it. I am not itching to give him credit, but it is not unreasonable for him to make that claim.

two flavors same ice cream. What has he done better than Trump besides not tweeting?
Sure, pick your poison, I agree.
Trump was a narcissistic scumbag who made some good decisions thanks to people like Kushner that often acted in spite of him. He cost himself the election by Tweeting like a nutjob and telling people mail in voting was a liberal scam.

Biden is incompetent and probably senile who is surrounded by some dangerous people and won because he wasn't Trump. But I don't think he's a scumbag or someone I don't want my kids to listen to.

I don't care for either personally, but saying
That's on you for the pipe dream about him that he was any different than Trump.
is patently absurd unless your only point is they are both pick your poison presidents.

I guess we have different ideas of who our kids should listen to. You haven't been paying attention to all of the times Biden was forced out of candidacy from ethics issues. Who cares about the role model part anyhow. Anyone who looks to a president to be a role model is in for disappointment. Asa far as results? That's on you for getting blinded by his smile.

As pointed out

Trump might be crazy and Biden might be senile. The difference is who are the people surrounding them and influencing their actions.

So let us all attack with the most powerful adjectives in our arsenal.
He will probably strike them with the most powerful adjectives in their arsenal.
What I see there is that they will do what Trump is already doing and in addition to that they will attack it with an unprecedented number of adjectives. Did I leave anything out?

I don't know why you guys are ganging up on @CountValentine . Just pay attention to what he is saying and you will probably agree. The root of the issue here is the Trump plan to withdraw. Trump's "peace" with the Taliban without even giving the US back government a seat at the table is what is leading to so much of the problem. You are concerned about the Afghani women? That is on Trump. You are concerned about retribution against anyone left behind? That is on Trump. Instituting Islamic law? Curtailing freedoms? All on Trump. It is of course debatable whether Trump would actually have the backbone to follow through, but the withdrawal is on him. Biden took that withdrawal and somehow managed to bungle it and make it that much worse than it already was. The idiot got replaced by the fool. The fool's foolishness doesn't take away from the idiot's idiocy.
Yes, we can blame it on Trump. But Biden blaming Trump? C'mon man, that's just pathetic. He went all out undoing everything Trump did, but this, the one thing Trump was dead-wrong on, is one thing he decides to keep - and make much worse, but that's all Trump's fault?

Ahem. He decides to keep?

Allow me to go back to my pre-election extreme narrative. "His operators decide to keep". And with that the only question is his speech, which he obviously didn't write himself.

Agree.

Bookmark that and remember it for the next election. In today's day and age it is rare (to be mild) to find a politician that is a principled leader with a backbone (maybe Bernie Sanders is). So you really need to pay attention to who the politician is surrounding himself with (and there will be lots of chaff there too).

Even Bibi Netanyahu, who is head and shoulders above most world leaders and politicians has his shortcomings. The strongest, and most focused one that I can think of right now on the world scene is probably Putin (and we know what happens to whoever starts up with him). Maybe also Xi Jinping.

Well if we accept that "rules for thee but not for me" is a principle of socialism, then I guess he probably is.
