It seemed to me that status quo made sense. Giving air support to them was a small cost to us. But whether status quo was tenable long-term is open to debate.

Doha was signed in February of 2020. Why were all these people that needed to be evacuated even there when Biden took office. If the last admin wanted them out (they didn't IMHO) why didn't they evacuate them? All but many 1-2k were essential so what happened?
