Agreed. Seems to violate at least the ADA and the ACAA. But this was not my fight right now.

Thanks for asking! The mask exemption process was very smooth BH. They asked a few questions at the check-in desk and granted the exemption without any problems. We informed the flight crew as we boarded the plane and no one said boo throughout the entire flight. TBH though the crew were the type not to have made a big deal anyway, so we probably would have been okay even without the exemption, but I'm definitely happy we made the switch to Delta so we had the yishuv hadaas of doing things the right way...
