I wanted to sign up for this card, however i have 2 chase card approvals in the last 6 months? Is it pointless for me to even try? My wife has had 1 approval in the last 6 months? should i even try with either of our names?

deos this work retroactivly? I just signed up for it today, and flew a couple of times since june. will i recieve the double miles.
I also just changed my address on file to my New York address. I hope it deos so i can get closer to some lifetime status!!

i just tried getting it retroactivly no luck whatsoever they say its impossible. If anyone succeeded pls let ur know

How did you try? Did you apply for the promo and then ask them why you didn't get credited the double miles?

I got the 50k that Chase gives on my 1st statement (bill), the 2nd 50k is suppose to come from BA but I didnt meet my $2k min in spending before my statement closed (have already) so I have to wait till my next statement closes before BA will know I met the min and activate the 2nd 50k

I got my points on the first statement- total 200K bonus plus a few thousand miles for the spending (Household accound for me and my wife so 100K bonus each)- already booked tickets on AA with some of the points.

BTW- the fees on to book AA tix with my BA miles came out cheaper than if I would have booked on AA directly with my AA points, since AA has extra fees for booking close to the travel dates as opposed to BA.

AA's expedite fees are avoidable.

I understand that they are avoidable, my main point was that the fees arent worse than on AA itself (w/out the AA expedite fee they were exactly the same). I know some people were worried about BA's high fees on award tickets and were wondering if they also charge excessive fees on partner airlines. I am sure you would agree that it is better to burn BA points than AA points when possible if they are for the same amount of points.

The Links now only offer 30k Bonus Miles, that includes the 1 I put into my Favorites that was the 1 used for the 100k

Basically the 100k deal is Dead and Gone

Absolutely, now that we know they don't charge fuel surcharges on AA, using BA miles on AA is a great use. The only problem being that you can't redeem for transatlantic travel.

thats no problem at all. South Am and Asia are better place sanyway.

Or Costa Rica and only hit San Jose for the Glatt Kosher Burger King. CR is a beautiful Country if you think Hawaii is great CR is up there as well and alot closer. Many new Hawaii type Resorts in the Guanacaste area and many great National Parks and Rain Forrests as well as all types of hikes, rafting, Zip Lines (if you have never done this you havent done anything in your life, especially the 1 outside Avernal which has you going from 1 side of the canyon to the other with a beautiful waterfall below you) and the Tabacon Hot Springs well lets just say at night theres no place like it anywhere.
