Ozone Generator
« on: May 11, 2022, 03:40:25 PM »
Has anyone here ever used an ozone generator to get rid of the smell of smoke in a car? Any recommendation, or better yet have one I can borrow?
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

  • Programs: 1. Search on google. 2. Search in the right board of DDF with a general word or two. 3. Read the wiki. 4. Read the thread. 5. Ask away.

Yes and it worked quite well. I borrowed it from someone- I’ll text you his number.

Cigarette smoke is hard to get rid of.  It gets into fabrics and books.  But it dissipates over time. An ozonator can help get rid of the smell.  But slowly. And you will need to air out the ozone, but that's really quick.
My recommendation  is to use the machine for a few days. Use the car for a few days and use the machine again. I don't know why, but I feel like you need to air things out in between.  No scientific evidence.

Smoke from a fire is easier to remove.  Maybe because it hasn't been absorbed into everything slowly over years' time.
Good luck.

Watch a guy called DetailGeek on you tube.
He's really amazing when it comes to cleaning cars. And he uses an ozone machine from time to time on smelly cars. See which one he uses.

His budget is probably a lot bigger.
