Did you feel safe travelling around Turkey? (were you obviously jewish?)
There is now a general trend to be scared in Turkey (while needing to be on alert everywhere), and the Maldives which is really Islamic for its intends and purpose, no one cares about.
While Turkey has many muslims, especially in the main cities there are many that are anti fanatics.
