Are the tunes in "The Purim Story" taken from non Jewish sources?
"Esther my child" sounds like it.
This is from the album jacket of Off The Record 2

I don't know about "Esther My Child", but I know that another song on the album, "We Can Do Teshuva", was composed by Eileen Atlas and Steve Yates.

I don't know Steve Yates, but Eileen Atlas is the wife of R' Shlomo Atlas of Chicago. Both husband and wife play in a band at many simchos in Chicago. (Yes, only in Chicago is a woman part of the band at frum weddings, playing from the women's side of the mechitza!)

IIRC, on Yossi Kirsh's other album, Shimshon, they use the song Legacy from Rocky Zweig: https://mostlymusic.com/products/legacy-cd?srsltid=AfmBOopvoC9VISljVHStreM_Fo903Y-K4YP4YiN_rHETj8iNeKGX2nM5

That it's an original song with original lyrics.

Ì happen to HATE the lyrics.
"When all hope seems lost- we turn to hashem"
Sounds like we dont turn to hashem until all natural hope is lost...

I always thought it was "just like in previous days when all hope seemed lost we turned to Hashem"

It makes a big difference. If it's present tense, it sounds like that is the correct mehalech. If it's past tense, it is an historical observation, doesn't mean that it was correct.

At 1:30 of the track, right before the music, the following conversation occurs. "(Nuti) Shaul, why are you crying?, (Shaul) Hey Nuti, all hope is lost." The song is a response to that.
"I don't know Shaul, don't jump to conclusions, you can't determine our fate,
History shows us, he is forgiving......... When all hope seemed lost........"
