Poor @biobook, joins DDF, helps out loads of people, provides thoughtful, sensitive insights into many conversations, and still can't get a simple cholent recipe that she's been asking for for months
Thank you for pointing that out.
While I can't help with the actual recipe, I know that the key is in the "kishke" that's in it. I believe onions are diced and fried and then mixed (along with the oil, iinm) with flour, eggs salt and pepper (and possibly other spices, and maybe even a touch of soup mix - aka MSG, I really don't know). Lots of beans, a nice amount of barley, and some potatoes, salt and pepper and cook to perfection.
@biobook I'm Sorry I can't come up with the actual (exact recipe), but
@Yehuda57 gave me such a guilt trip, that I had to do something to express Ahavas Yisroel, especially at this time of year.
