Yesher koiach for sharing and taking the time for the trip report.
I enjoyed very much the surreal photos of an all yidden flight with slightly perplexed flight attendants

Now just imagine thousands of planes just like that heading to Israel when Mosiach comes.
For those out there that don't know the cost and trouble of arranging a charter:
1) Getting a plane, especially a big one, is very difficult. There aren't a whole bunch of these just sitting around the world waiting for people to book them. If you own a plane, you fly it all the time or you lose A LOT of money.
2) Getting all the permits and permissions is also very difficult and I really don't envy the work involved.
3) The profit margins on a flight like this are a LOT smaller than people imagine. The costs of a one-time charter flight are huge!
Just think about one point: LOT doesn't have planed idling around the U.S doing nothing. They have to fly the plane and crew in from Europe empty just to get the plane there, they then have to operate the flight round trip, they then have to fly back to Europe empty so really they are flying 4 flights, not 2.
Multiply the cost of labor and fuel by 4 and you start to understand what it costs to fly a charter.
I'm glad you guys pulled it off and hope you made a nice parnassah and had a good time to boot!
