No they did the same with Nixon .When POTUS completely stopped his duties and was liable to do anything to save his ass being dragged out from office, the general did the smart thing in opening a back channel to avoid a potential WW3 because DJT couldn’t admit he lost. In regular times, yes this would’ve been treason but I’m glad he did it.
