Didn't say not to, but you need to weigh the cost of the 5/24 slot with no SUB and the need to make 5 purchases every month to earn the rent credit.
5/24 slots are quite valuable.
I understand that for many people the slots are extremely valuable. However, between myself and P2, I worry about MSR a lot more than 5/24 slots. Because of my lack of high organic spend and very minimal MS a one-time pull for constant rent-earning points.

(After making this calculation around a year+ ago, I did come across a small way to MS and ended up having to micromanage my personal cards applications. But overall, no regrets.)

Any updated thoughts on this?
Are there any other options of paying rent by cc without a fee? Or a low fee

It’s capped at 100,000 points per calendar year
Also can only be made to one rental property in a 30 day period

They are very MS sensitive. Per the CEO they are actively looking out for this.

Anyone try paying their mortgage with this?
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

There's an FT thread on this card where Richard Kerr actively chimes in.  He has repeatedly stated that they have safeguards in place to prevent mortgage payments.  Also, he recently updated that they have decided to selectively exclude Curve transactions from earning rent day bonuses.  They seem to be pretty in the know about our antics (assumedly because of Richard + TPG as an investor).

  • Location: The value of a forum such as this one is not in that one can post a question and receive an answer, but in that the question has most likely been asked before, and the answer is available to him that will but only use the search function.
  • Programs: 1. Search on google. 2. Search in the right board of DDF with a general word or two. 3. Read the wiki. 4. Read the thread. 5. Ask away.

How would TPG help them know about "our antics"?

Yes he chimes in other places as well. He is very points savvy and seems to be extremely paranoid with people using it to MS. That said I might have saw him say somewhere that they are working on including mortgages.

It seems that you would be able to pay your SO for "rent"? Then just deposit the check in the bank and pay your mortgage?

Would your SO get a 1099 for the "rent" paid?
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!
