Issue with AA flight change and rebooking on JetBlue
« on: September 23, 2021, 05:27:54 PM »
Hi, I have a flight on AA LGA to MCO and received an email that they cancelled that flight and rebooked me with a stopover on the way there and back. Someone else on the flight called and was rebooked on a direct flight from JFK operated by JetBlue. I called to be rebooked and the agent told me they can't do that. Said that they don't have an agreement with JetBlue for flight changes and that if they rebooked me on the direct JetBlue flight then I'd be denied boarding when I get to the airport. Thinking I should HUCA but curious if there's any truth to this and should my friend be worried about being denied boarding?

Can't hurt to HUCA, but I wouldn't expect to get rebooked by AA these days.
Don't want a refund I assume?

funny, I called again and this time the guy rebooked me on the JetBlue flight out of jfk in a second. It was the easiest phone call I've had in a long time. So there's no reason to worry about being denied boarding? The previous rep made it sound like they were doing me a favor by not putting me on the JetBlue flight
