So you going with the control board?
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

I just had this issue. It ended up being the fan motor that blows from the fridge into the freezer. I took apart the whole piece that connects the fridge to the freezer (which made the fridge cold/too cold) until the part arrived

what model do you have?
I have wrf535swhz00
how would I check if its the fan motor? where is it?

first it was freezing everything up, then it went to the other extreme

The fridge mostly gets cold through the freezer so if the conduit where it blows the cold air gets blocked it will not cool it off. I have seen that happen from the fridge being left open and the conduit gets a chunk of ice in it and the like.

I’ve had something similar happen.

Should be a pan at the bottom the water will drip in. Might hear ice/water dropping. You can put your hand where the coils are in the freezer and see if it feels warm.

You can't see the coils. Press on the back walls inside the freezer section. If they the coil is frozen you should hear ice pressing against where you push gently with your hand.

In my case you were able to actually see the ice at the vent

This looks like the pan - diagram 7 / #8. Might have to look from the back.

I just went through this! A few pointers

1. Diagnosing the problem is critical- there's a hundred different parts that could cause this so you could spend forever trying to fix it if you do trial and error
2. Cheap used parts on ebay are a good way to go- at least to prove which part you needed. You can always buy a new part later to replace the used one
3. If there's a refrigerant leak, there's not much you can do. Finding the hole is difficult and often it's in a place that can't be repaired or replaced

Do you want help diagnosing?
