Status match from Southwest companion pass submitted September 29 and approved on September 30. Was given the 50k status in AC.

I got the Air Canada status match, posted on DDMS. It said if we fly a round trip on Air Canada before Jan 15, 2022, the status will extend until end of 2022. I was looking at a flight on Air Canada, and the same flight cost $50 cheaper if I book it through United. (will probably also count as a United booking if I do it through Amex biz plat points, so I could get back 35%).
Would such a flight count to extend my status (if I book on United, is it considered a United flight, or AC)?

I don't believe it needs to be issued by United the terms and condition had the info for that do note make sure it is booked under one reservation otherwise you will not be getting the status

Tried with Delta and denied.
