Supposedly in the bosch 800 model the drying is better
Those are nice units.
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

There is an extra dry button on mine

I do like the fact that it has a third rack, for silverware. But I had an issue with the drying. It got better after I switched the soap and rinse aid, but still have an issue from time to time. Not something that would make me return it, but I would still avoid it next time I need one.
I always use rinse aid and still have the problem with wet dishes

You are right. Many models now have heated drying.

Check the book. Maybe you're not stacking them correctly.

Those are nice units.
I have the Bosch 800, runs a fairly long cycle at 2.5 hours.
Plastics don't dry so well, especially if water pools on the top of the container. Dishes are sometimes a bit moist, but if I make the effort to open the dishwasher right after the cycle ends and dump off any pooled water then the steam evaporates and items are dry.

This was the dishwasher that the appliance place recommended (panel ready) but in hindsight I should have researched them myself. The Miele dishwasher has an auto open feature that pops the door open at cycle end to allow the steam to evaporate...
I'm not always awake to open my Bosch and then the items are wet.

Do you rinse the dishes before placing them in the dishwasher?
You always need to rinse it first it will also help keep the dishwasher alive longer

The appliance shop that recommended the Bosch specifically told me NOT to rinse the dishes first. They said that the machine uses sensors to determine how dirty the dishes were, and if I would rinse it first, it would not clean them effectively.

I am very happy with my ancient GE Nautilus. Many of my neighbors and relatives complain about their newer machines that take forever and you need to pre-rinse. I don't have that with mine. The only issue is it's very noisy, but I'll take that any day over the other issues.

Trump tried reversing these efficiency rules - manufacturers never changed and Biden is back to the former efficiency requirements so hang in there with your dishwasher that actually works
